Save the Date
Word from the bird is that our Annual Spring Gala is the largest and most impressive fundraiser of the year. A day where you get chrome-plated and look your ginchiest–Greaser, Preppy, Beatnik, Teddy Boyo, it’s all copacetic, baby! Enjoy yourself with your friends over cocktails and a 2-course meal. Over 100 gift baskets and big ticket items will be on display for you to win. Each basket is estimated to be worth at least $150!
Don’t be a wet rag. Leave your ankle-biters back at your pad, and burn some rubber over to the Castaway.
Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Castaway
Ticket information coming soon.
Why do you hold an Annual Spring Fundraiser?
We are a non-profit organization, so we rely heavily on the generous donations from the community. We use those funds to offer scholarships to those in need, to purchase large playground/classroom equipment and classroom supplies.
What is the Annual Spring Fundraiser?
The gala consists of a two-course luncheon at The Castaway in Burbank. The afternoon includes 100+ opportunity baskets, entertainment, and a cash bar. Our event is attended by 200+ people and has remained an important date on the calendar of many!
What should I wear? Do I have to dress up?
You do not have to wear a costume, BUT you can if you want to. Our theme this year is Rockin’ into the 1950s! Whatever your interpretation of that era is, be it a chic 1950s cocktail party, Grease the movie, sock hop, Rockabilly… it all works, and dressing up just adds to the fun of the occasion. So, even though it is a morning/afternoon event, adorn that poodle skirt, bouffant that hair, or slick it a la Elvis style, roll up your jeans, and get ready to rock and roll back into the ’50s!
What time should I arrive?
The event starts promptly at 10 a.m. and finishes at 2 p.m. In order to take full advantage of this wonderful event, please arrive at 10 a.m. There are over 100 baskets, so in order to see them all, allow yourself plenty of time!
How easy is it to park?
There is complimentary valet parking available as well as self-parking.
What is the food like?
The Castaway is under new management and has a brand new look. Chef Perry Pollaci will not disappoint. Our menu, which includes poultry or vegan choices, will be revealed soon.
Do you have to be enrolled in the program to attend?
This event is open to all! Friends, family, significant others, acquaintances, etc. This is an adult only event.
Are tickets available at the door?
No, tickets are advance purchase only.
Can I buy raffle tickets with a credit card?
Credit cards are accepted, but cash is strongly encouraged.
